We are unlike any other venue in the area in that we offer flexibility, versatility and assistance that you won’t get at more traditional wedding venues. We specialize in intimate smaller events of 170 guests or less which allows plenty of room for the guests to enjoy the gardens and all the added unique features and amenities that will make your day a memorable and fun occasion for all!
Garden Features:
The Gardens and grounds offer nearly two acres of lush gardens surrounding a large grassy area perfectly manicured and situated to accommodate a 40’ x 60’ tent for your reception celebration;
The Coach House (barn) decorated with French-country flair is ideal for small indoor parties for up to 30 individuals, or for indoor catering set-up and preparation;
The Garden Patio area offers a covered Victorian Pergola equipped with wrought iron tables and chairs to provide additional casual outdoor seating for up to 22 people, and a cozy fire pit to gather around on cool summer evenings;
The Victorian Chapel is ideally situated to serve as a charming backdrop for your wedding vows and offers a manicured level grassy area to accommodate outdoor seating for up to 150 people;
The Vintage “Glamper” is decorated inside and out in a fun and whimsical style and is the perfect backdrop for an outdoor cocktail or food bar;
The Hollyhock House is made available to the wedding couple for photo opportunities and for pre/post-wedding “changing” in the romantic bridal suite.
Flexibility:
Our wedding packages offer options and flexibility. You can choose from one of our half day or full day single day packages, or take advantage of our extended packages offering garden access on the day before or the day after your event, or both!
Imagine the convenience of having all your events in the same location . . . with an extended package you could have a cookout/rehearsal dinner here on Friday night, the wedding ceremony and/or reception here on Saturday, and a brunch/gift opening here on Sunday morning. And if you’re concerned about lodging availability for you and your out-of-town guests, don’t worry, Kewaunee offers a number of lodging options.
Versatility:
Because The Hollyhock House and Gardens is privately owned, you’re able to set the tone for your event. And, since you will be choosing the caterers, vendors, music, etc. that you feel best suits your event, be sure to include in your plans those things that express who you are as a couple. You can plan your event to be as formal or as casual as you choose. You could have a romantic candlelit reception under the stars, or a laid back casual cookout. (Hey, go barefoot if you want!). You can’t get more versatile than that!
And speaking of versatility . . . The Hollyhock House and Gardens is available to host events week-days or week-ends, day or night, late spring through early autumn!

Once you become a client, we’ll provide you with a referral list of local resources offering wedding-related services to make your planning virtually turn-key. These referrals include services ranging from catering, to the tent rental, to the photographer, to the florist, to the DJ, and anything else you can think of. In addition, we'll offer advice when you want it, and work with you to ensure that your special day is everything you ever hoped for!

The Hollyhock House is a charming Queen Anne-style Victorian cottage decorated inside and out to capture the beauty and elegance of a by-gone era. The Hollyhock House and Gardens is located in the quaint harbor town of Kewaunee, Wisconsin just 30 minutes from Door County, Green Bay and Manitowoc. Situated on nearly two acres of gardens and lawns, the grounds are ideal for holding those special outdoor functions such as Wedding Ceremonies, Rehearsal Dinners and Garden Receptions. Or if your event is small and an indoor venue is preferred, we can accommodate that too!
