The Hollyhock House and Gardens is a unique wedding venue in that it offers the use of our outdoor garden facilities for both the wedding ceremony and reception and, if you choose one of our "destination" wedding packages, use of our beautiful Victorian house for overnight lodging of up to 10 individuals. Situated on nearly two acres of beautifully landscaped gardens in residential Kewaunee, our venue provides a private and romantic backdrop for your memorable day. Do you have space for a ceremony?

Yes, there are a number of picturesque "vignettes" in the garden that are ideal for staging your ceremony.

Do you have space for a reception?

Yes, there is a large open area of lawn at the rear of the garden that is ideal for this purpose.

What is the maximum number of guests you can accommodate at your facilities?

We can accommodate a wedding/reception of up to 200 people.

Are there any indoor facilities?

Not really, we are primarily an outdoor garden venue. However, we do have a small coach house on the site that can be used to stage small indoor events and seats up to 25 individuals. In addition, small wedding ceremonies for up to 30 can be conducted in the parlor of the house.

What happens if it rains?

Regardless of the anticipated weather, we highly recommend that you rent a tent. We can provide you with information regarding local rental agencies.

What is the rental cost to use your property?

Our rates vary depending upon the length of time and the extent to which you utilize the property. Please refer to our current pricing information on our website at www.thehollyhockhouse.com.

Do you provide catering services?

No, we do not offer on-site catering, however, we can provide you with our extensive Vendor Resources List which contains information on local caterers who are familiar with our property.

What other types of vendor services are available on your list?

Our Vendor Resources List contains information on all local vendors who provide wedding-related services and includes caterers, rental agencies, officiates, photographers, florists, cake bakers, DJ services, etc.

Are we required to use the Vendors whom you recommend?

No, the information is provided as a courtesy to assist you in making your arrangements. Unlike other similar venues, The Hollyhock House does not require that you utilize the services of specific vendors.

What is your closing time?

This depends on which wedding package you have selected. However, regardless of which package you select, you must keep in mind that the City of Kewaunee has an 11pm noise curfew -- which means that the music and/or loud noises must be lowered by 10pm.

Are there indoor toilet facilities?

No. We ask that you arrange for port-o-potties to be installed on the grounds in the area designated for this purpose. We can provide the name of a vendor who provides budget-friendly clean, spacious and sanitary potties and wash sinks.

Do you have overnight accommodations?

If you choose one of The Hollyhock Houses' "destination" wedding packages, lodging for up to 10 individuals for 1 or 2 nights (depending on the package you've selected) is included.

Is there sufficient lodging in town for our other guests?

Yes. Although Kewaunee is a small town, there are two modern motels and an old Victorian hotel in town which can provide more than sufficient lodging accommodations for your guests.

Are there other activities in the area that might interest our out-of-town guests?

Yes, there's shopping (Door County is only 30 miles from Kewaunee), and winery tours, plus outdoor activities including golfing, fishing, camping, kayaking, bicycling, and hiking.

Is there sufficient parking in the area?

Yes. Our clients are asked to inform their guests to park on Highway 42 and enter the property through the rear entrance. Parking is permitted on both sides of Highway 42, which provides more than ample parking for event an up to 200 people. Additional parking is available on the grounds itself.

What if we feel we need the services of an "event coordinator"?

There are a lot of details to see to in order to pull off a wedding . . . but particularly a wedding at a unique venue such as ours. The Hollyhock House staff can recommend an "event coordinator" who is familiar with our property and can provide the assistance you need in the set-up and tear-down of your event.
