The Hollyhock House is a charming Queen Anne-style Victorian cottage decorated inside and out to capture the beauty and elegance of a by-gone era. Situated on nearly two acres of gardens and lawns, the grounds are ideal for holding those special outdoor functions. And if the event is small and an indoor venue is preferred, we can accommodate that too! The HollyHock House is located in the quaint harbor town of Kewaunee, Wisconsin.

The Victorian charm of the Hollyhock House lead us to develop our home as a bed and breakfast. We realized that because of the cottage style, it would be difficult to limit our business to private single accommodations, so we decided to take advantage of the entire beauty and charm of the house and gardens and use our bed and breakfast to specialize in providing a story book setting for wedding events. That way the home would always be available for the Bride and Groom as a romantic private retreat, and a perfect place to hold their entire wedding affair!

If you’re looking for a romantic setting for your wedding that offers breathtakingly beautiful backdrops for your wedding photos, and memories that will last a lifetime, you’ll find that and more at The Hollyhock House and Gardens. We are unlike any other venue in the area in that we offer flexibility and versatility that you cannot get at more traditional wedding venues.

You have options at The Hollyhock House and Gardens


We specialize in garden weddings for anywhere from 20-200 individuals. You can plan your event to be as formal, or as casual, as you choose. You can opt to make your event the traditional one day event, or take advantage of our "Destination Packages."

Imagine what you could do if you opted for a multi-day destination package . . .

· You could have a cookout/rehearsal dinner on Friday night, the wedding ceremony and reception on Saturday, and a brunch/gift opening in the garden on Sunday morning.

· You could arrange to spend your wedding night in our beautiful bridal suite (and have the entire house to yourself!), or to house your bridal party or your immediate family.

· You could have a romantic candlelit reception under the stars, or a casual (go barefoot if you want!) cookout.

· NOTE: The summer months aren’t the only time for a garden wedding. The gardens are equally beautiful in late spring and early autumn!

We’ll help you plan your events


Unlike similar venues, we will help you with the planning of your event. We can provide you with a referral list of resources in the area offering services ranging from catering, to the tent rental, to the photographer, to the florist, to the DJ, and anything else you can think of. We’ll offer assistance and advice when you want it, and work with you to ensure that your special day is everything you ever hoped for!
